Im in Miami Bitch

I'm not one to enjoy the rave scene but work led me to spending an evening with 50,000 interesting characters. I attended the Ultra music festival to support 30 of our new Mac III lamps. Aside from tripping over people fucked up on one designer drug or another, I met with some very talented programmers and designers. Apparently this event attracts people from all over the world so i guess someone must be doing something right. The lamps performed flawlessly and i witness some dexterous artists, a good night in my book.

My cue to leave was when i noticed the inside of one the tents dripping with all kinds of nastiness from all the sweat, heat, and debauchery going on inside.

Peace out

The rest of the weekend was lovely, got botched out on a gig and spent the rest of my time playing "Find that bottle cap"

If things keep going down this route, I'll never get my dream home

I think everybody should like everybody

There's nothing like 5 days off from the Netherworld, an evening of fishing, bike riding, and a good ole Misha's birthday cupcake to make things right with the world. Mixing a birthday and some time off never sucks.

The first day was filled with a whole lot of nothing which was fucking outstanding. When you can ignore the alarm clock, not answer work related phone calls, and wallow all day with a chihuahua you know you're off to a good start.

Day 2 consisted of a lot of riding and a bit of reading. D bought me a new book, The Alchemist to help in my quest for success. I also found myself committing gluttony which doesn't really do me any justice in the health department.

That evening D gathered some friends together and we hit up game works for a little birthday fun. It was good times, good friends and a shit load of air hockey followed by the occasional Grand Turismo.

A holiday wouldn't be complete without a little angling adventure with Marcel & Co.

the catch was decent

We were hoping to complete the evening with a bit of that nighttime snook action however; fell short due to insufficiencies. Always a good time though when fishing with these guys. Thank you Bermen!

.

Well spent time off and much deserved. Things have been quite slag lately but seem to be turning around. Good or bad, I always seem to have some fun.

Time Travel

Another trip to the concrete jungle to write home about. This trip was quite constructive, knocked out a few very important demonstrations (mind you went very well) Visited an ongoing installation of which is finally coming to a close, and met up with some pals.

The weather could have been more accommodating

I told you the demos went well.

Lately my last posts have been some what morbid mainly due to the fact that this economy has the shits or what some people would like to call "a bad case of the trots." Either way you look at it, it has affected my work and many others as well. On this trip i was pleased to see some good things happening as far work is concerned. I went to go see an installation that was near completion. The application of said install is a very large upscale catering hall which holds weddings, corporate events, Bar or Bat Mitzvah what have you. The owner tells me that their first event is at the end of the month and booked solid for the next 2 years. My point to all this is, its comforting to see flourishing businesses going up and ultimately, money being spent. It certainly doesn't suck

I met up with Jay and his friend Dave who treated us to a delectable dinner. It was great guacamole (prepared table side) and the almighty Chihuahua cheese. Good times. Thank you Dave!

On the corner, stuck between what is love and what is hate.

Where to sir? Back to warmer climates please

Here we go again

Tell you all about it when its over

Anatomically correct

Another delightful weekend in the books. I had the usual Suenalo gig, saw an Oscar winning movie, and continued my quest for fully nude manikins.

The gig was pretty solid, not sure if that was due to a new design or the fact that the band only played one 1 and half hour set. In either case it was a fun time all around.

The award winning movie was Gus Van Sant's biopic, Milk. I had dibs on picking the movie for this weekend, the last few that i saw left very little to be desired so it was good to catch a quality film for a change.

Go see Milk

Speaking of little to be desired, this week is not looking to be so promising. The entire eastern seaboard is feeling the cold and I'm constantly reminded that the economy just keeps getting worse and worse. Just be glad you're not this guy

I'm sure things will eventually spin around

In closing

I'm sorry, what was that?
