Did you think it was over

Back to the open road, bleak open road. Its vary rare I go from tropical to frigid in less than 12 hours but when i do, its no holds barred. After coming home from paradise, I immediately left for New England. That's 90 degrees to 40 degrees, so sweet!

I flew into RI and the trip went as follows:

to

to

to

I usually write about how great it is going up there and it truly is however this trip, I truly wanted to go home. Some sights to sooth the nerves, as well as freeze them.

Super!

As deeply as I anticipated going home, my trip was productive and always fruitful. As my luck would have it though, my airline carrier let me down. I attempted to seek help from the Green Mountain Boys but they regretfully declined. I flicked my cigarette butt in their air space and carried on with my setback.

Maybe this is the way home

One more time for good measure.

As if I couldn't get enough of the “Rich Coast” during my honeymoon, I went back for more. Only this time, I went with a group of guys that on any given day will have you on the floor with laughter, or the occasional “turkey slap.”

Mars opted to have his bachelor party in CR which at first poised to be a stretch but in the end, by far one the best experiences Ive had in longtime. You cant put a price tag on new friendships as well as reunited ones for that matter. Its like one day I’m inundated with work, completely lost from the outside world and the next day I’m out surfing Jaco with an old friend, priceless.

We spent 4 days in Jaco which Ive heard can be compared to a dirty Vegas on some levels, still trying to see the resemblance. The town is a bit sketch, but the food is cheap and the beer flows like wine (so does the rum punch depending who you ask)

For the last two days of the trip we rented a house which was fucking stellar. The house is equipped with four bedrooms, a full kitchen, pool, a beautiful courtyard with garden for all you nature freaks, and literally two steps to the beach. If that isn't enough, there’s a one eyed mutt on the premises to help you sleep at night. We ate like kings and drowned a majority of our ambitions in fine alcohol. As you do.

On the last day, we all splurged on ATVs followed by some treacherous hiking/river walking through the jungle. Risky at best but probably the most thrilling of sites one could ever see. Venomous snakes, frogs, poisonous plants, and waterfalls that, if not careful could break a couple 2 - 3 ribs. You know you're in for something when posted signs warn you just about everything but proper grammar.

I sometimes think that ATVs were intentionally built for hell raising with your buddies. Just saying.

We closed the trip with another gentleman's feast. Trips like these don't come very often but when they do, don't think twice, you may find yourself sleeping right through a great time.

Congratulations pal! and thanks for the good times.

USeless Airways

You hurt me again today, yet somehow I always end up coming back.

In the midst of airline dereliction, this has been helping.

A begining which has no end

Wow, where do i start? Too long since I've posted, I cant seem to put my finger on it (metaphorically speaking) whether I'm too busy or too lazy, probably the latter of the two but things have been crazy lately to say the least.

Since we last spoke, I had a drama filled xmas, a lovely new year, visited another country or two or three, made some home improvements and got married. Now, I know what your thinking but hear me out. I took my best friend and made her my wife, honestly what's so baneful about that? The aberrant part is, I feel like we just met, as if yesterday I was at this house party, I said "hi" and she said, "absolutely not!" Little did I know 7 years later we'd be sharing a life together. My wife fucking rules and I couldn't be happier.

We spent a good amount of time honeymooning in Guanacaste CR. which was pleasant. Activities included canopying, horseback riding, hiking through tropical rain forests, and dinner volcano side. I even squeezed in a day of surfing while D stationed herself on the beach reading her Kindle aallll-day long, that lovely little device is probably the best investment I've ever made.

The resort was beauteous and probably the best we've ever experienced. We spared no expense and upgraded to the "Royal Service", as you do when vacationing on your honeymoon. The service included a bad ass suite with all the trimmings, private butler and our own jacuzzi located right on the balcony, so sweet. The royal treatment doesn't suck and I can completely get used to hearing "Right away Mr O'Connor," or in this case "Si senor." If you ever get the opportunity to stay at a Paradisus resort, get the Royal Service.

There's was plenty to do and definitely plenty to see.

Married life has been great thus far and something tells me its going to last a long time.

Now that we've been back for a few weeks and things are starting to calm down, you'll be hearing a lot more from me, I promise. But for right now, I'm just looking to hang out for a bit.

Thanks
