Boredom

So I'm enjoying a few days off, the whole week to be exact. I said I had a lot to accomplish during this time but for the life of me, can't figure what to do or where to start. At this point, I feel like I'm just wasting away as each second slowly ticks by.

Things are still happening though.

Some fun projects to close 2011. Speaking of which, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or whatever religious/non-religious holiday you give credence to. I hope it was as delightful as mine.

I'm headed to the Keys to open the New Year. For the first time in almost 10 years I'll have NYE off, I'll be picking a pair of the cheapest sunglasses I can find and open 2012 in style. Island style, that is.

See you next year!

In not so many words...

Why is it that too much time passes between our encounters? Could it be I care not to converse with you any more? Unlikely. Could it be there is never enough time in the day to meet? Maybe so. Or is that I've been sucked into this vicious vortex you all like to call life.

Whatever the case may be, it's still and always will be a pleasure to see you again!

Lately I've been living this transient lifestyle, traveling from coast to coast and selective places in between. I can't say it's dismal but it does put a bend in any type of social life. It's troubling, as I can't always roll with an entourage.

L.A. traffic sends its warmest regards.

Both Oct. and Nov. have proven to be some busy months. I rocked a show with ¡Mayday!, spent and evening with some old friends and met a new one.

I just returned from Dallas. To what I thought would be a rather boring trip, considering it's Tx turned out to be quite enjoyable.

I still think...

Backyard Dreams

Its a grand 4th of July holiday, so grand, I'm inside typing away at this so-called journal. Guess it beats completing some overdue projects. At best, a well deserved long weekend.

People tend to skip town during the holiday which leaves an empty and quiet city, a local's nirvana.

In the midst of my transcendent state I managed to catch one my brother's gigs. He was playing in some restaurant downtown which happen to be an old bank dating back to the 1920s. Only a portion of the building was transformed into a restaurant, the other, left closed. I paid no heed to the "keep out" sign and proceeded to get lost.

A quick bathroom break and continued with the rest of my tour

I found my way back before both the restaurant manager and asbestos could get to me and rejoined the party. Great show by the way.

Happy 4th of July, Mano says Hi!
